About Stephanie and Spoken Thread Studio
I grew up playing under my Mennonite Grandmother’s quilting frame and have always had an awe and wonderment with the quilts that were created by hand. I have been quilting for 7 years and want to collaborate with others who create beauty through their quilting.
Spoken Thread Studio exists to complete that work with the same level of attention it was created with. Each quilt is approached thoughtfully, with an emphasis on balance, texture, and a finish that enhances rather than overwhelms the design.
Longarm quilting is the final step, but it’s also the one that brings everything together. The goal is simple: to ensure your quilt feels complete, cohesive, and made to last.
Every project begins with understanding the quilt itself—its piecing, its movement, and the intention behind it.
Design choices are made to support that vision, whether through a clean, consistent edge-to-edge pattern or more detailed custom work. Thread is selected carefully, and each stitch is placed with precision to create a result that feels considered and refined.
This isn’t about adding more—it’s about finishing well
Quilting is a handmade process, and subtle variations are part of what give each piece its character. Attention is given to every detail, with the goal of delivering a finished quilt that reflects both craftsmanship and care.
I believe the finishing should honor the work that came before it.
